About Spray Foam Insulation Holland

Spray Foam Insulation Holland insulates and air seals houses, cottages, garages and outbuildings in Holland and the towns along this stretch of the Lake Michigan shore, from Grand Haven down to Saugatuck, Douglas and Fennville and inland to Zeeland, Hudsonville and Allendale. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow cellulose and fiberglass into attics and closed walls, seal and insulate crawl spaces and basement rim joists, and pull out old insulation that has gone wet, dirty or useless.

Every job begins with a visit. We go into the attic, the basement or crawl space, and any wall or outbuilding you are worried about. We measure the insulation that is there, look at its condition and find the leaks that matter most here: open chases and top plates in the attic, the band joist where the house sits on its foundation, cantilevered floors, kneewalls in story-and-a-half homes, and the gaps that let wind off the lake push into a cottage. We also look for problems insulation would only hide, such as a roof leak, a damp sill, knob-and-tube wiring or vermiculite.

Then we put the plan in writing. Spray foam is the right answer in some places and the expensive wrong answer in others, so the estimate lists each area separately with its material, thickness, R-value and price. If sealing and blowing in an open attic floor does the job for less than foam, the estimate says that. If your house or cottage needs something outside our trade, such as a roofer or an electrician first, we tell you before we start.
